“Everyone Has to start Somewhere” - How To Guide

So you wanna sell your art but you don’t know where to start?

Well, we have put together some resources to help guide through the most important areas needed to hit the ground running.

Breakdown: We will try to offer both limited fund options and items that cost money.

This page is under construction currently, but I wanted to have the resources available as I am building it and adding more, so please check back for updates. We will remove this message when the page is “fully finished”

Jetty’s ADHD Summaries in one place:

Work in Progress Page - For Now

Updated from new pages:
♥Basics/Start♥
♥ Always save images at 300 DPI for printing- over that is probably not necessary and under will cause printing issues

♥ Save images as TIFF, PNG and then use JPGs for posting on social media or online use

♥ LIGHTING! LIGHTING! LIGHTING! I cannot stress enough how important lighting is-even if I do not follow this myself
 ♥Packing & Shipping♥
♥Use more packaging than assumed as needed. Reviews that rave about packaging and not broken art is the end goal.

♥Reusing received packing is a great way to save and help the planet- bubble wrap, air pockets, packing peanuts, foam sheets, undamaged boxes, etc.

♥Use package pickups! Free with USPS shipping

♥LLC- Limited Liability Company♥

♥  legal protections against litigation-  Person sues COMPANY not YOU
♥ Bigger businesses that usually have more than one employee
♥ LLC Fees vary by state but are NOT for individual artists.

♥Sole Proprietorship♥

♥ Self employed business
♥ Person sues YOU
♥ Over $400- extra tax paperwork; Quarterly reporting of taxes

♥Set Solid Business Boundaries♥

Personally, I do not ship internationally and given my brain issues I offer a no refunds policy on my store. This is from previous experience with scammers, bad banks, and drop shippers. There are too many scammers out there to not have HARD lines in the sand. A real customer will come to your store and bring up issues to find solutions.
